I have a 750GB Western Digital Caviar Green hard drive. For a while, the drive functioned perfectly, but suddenly my PC died. I took the drive out and plugged it into my laptop multiple times with a SATA to USB adaptor. The vast majority of the 750GB is filled with data that I cannot afford to lose. Recently, I've experienced issues with the drive, which would spin up half of the time when I plugged it in but not the other half.
